Foxconn Interconnect Technology is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer Principal/Senior at the Harrisburg, PA / Irvine, CA /San Jose, CA of the Advanced Development Lab (ADL) Department.


Background:

The Senior/Principal SI engineer with FIT Advanced Development Laboratory will have primary focus on leading edge technology development. Actively engage with customers to gain insights into the functionality of systems and assess their evolving high-speed technology requirements. Subsequently be responsible for conceptualizing and designing products that effectively address these needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with business development (BD) and system architecture teams(SA) to drive the acquisition of new projects.
  • Transform these projects into viable product concepts and strategize their commercialization.
  • Execute product development initiatives with speed efficiency and a strong emphasis on innovation.
  • Cultivate, develop, and capitalize on relationships with customer SI engineers and system architects.
  • Engage closely with the SA teams to gain a deep understanding of hardware architecture, fostering the generation innovative Ideas.
  • Innovate and secure patents for groundbreaking connector concepts.
  • Conceive, design, and optimize high-speed connectors and cable assemblies, rigorously modeling and measuring the performance to meet and exceed specified requirements.


Education’/ Certification Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.


Experience Preferred:

  • 10+ Years in Connector SI or Connector Industry
  • Proficiency in advanced technical aspects of high-speed connector design, including modeling and testing.
  • Mastery in specialized software tools such as HFSS and designer.
  • Deep understating of high-speed transition line theory.
  • Deep understanding of connector manufacturing.
  • In depth expertise in utilizing VNA, TDR & BERT
  • Comprehensive knowledge of system signal integrity (SI) requirements.
  • Familiarity with computing, storage, and network architectures.
  • Effective and confident communication skills, particularly when interacting with customers.
  • Proficiency in in spoken mandarin
  • Self-driven and proactive, capable of accomplishing tasks with minimal guidance.
