Responsible for monitoring and servicing systems, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests, completing reports, updating and improving existing systems, repairing or replacing faulty equipment, operating heavy machining equipment and tooling.


Responsibilities:

· Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment.

· Reading repair manuals and liaising with other professionals.

· Running tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations.

· Writing up reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans.

· Sourcing replacement parts.

· Negotiating with suppliers and clients.

· Repairing or replacing faulty equipment.

· Fabricating any components required.

· Providing time and material cost estimates before starting a job.

· Keeping abreast of advancements in your field and attending workshops as required.

· Support manufacturing to ensure that products are manufactured per the design.

· Support manufacturing for continuous improvement activities, new product introductions, and testing.

· Recommend tooling and manufacturing process changes.

· Apply and utilize manufacturing best practices for efficiency and quality.


Requirements:

· High school diploma is preferred.

· A relevant degree, certification, or license is a plus.

· Experience as a technician.

· Experience in plumbing.

· Experience in manufacturing is a plus.

· A driver's license.

· Ability to multitask and work with professionals in different fields.

· Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.

· Proficiency in MS Office.

· Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.

· Ability to follow health and safety regulations.

· Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.

· Knowledge of the wastewater treatment industry and the construction of wastewater treatment equipment including piping and pumping systems is a plus.

· Experience using 3D CAD software especially SolidWorks is a plus.

· Hands on to troubleshoot and repair any tooling/equipment/product.
