About the Role:
Job Summary
The Intra-Office PASC Scheduler is responsible for being the primary liaison for system scheduling within the specialty the clinic supports by providing surgical and imaging scheduling at point of service. This role serves as the primary PASC support for the physicians and clinical staff within the office as it relates to scheduling needs, including scheduling questions and concerns. The representative is responsible for the integrity of the schedule for the specialty in which it supports. In addition, provides exceptional customer service during direct contact with patients within the office setting.

Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of direct invasive and/or diagnostic imaging scheduling experience is required. One (1) year registration experience is required.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for the scheduling, pre-registration, and collections for patients within the physician office setting for services across modalities in the hospital setting (while the patient is present). This includes, but is not limited to, outpatient radiology exams, cardiology and vascular studies, invasive procedures (i.e. Cath lab, EP lab, OR, EVOR, etc.), and other diagnostic testing.
Responsible for the scheduling of follow up and other physician office appointments as applicable to the patient across different office locations. This also includes the scheduling and check in of other office related visits (i.e. labs). In addition, performs check out functions for the office setting.
Serves as the primary contact and support for the physicians and clinical office staff as it relates to the need for add on/urgent cases, concerns regarding a scheduled appointment, or any other PASC related functions needing resolution.
Assists the clinical office staff in verifying and entering and/or transcribing the appropriate order for hospital testing/procedures to ensure efficiency of the hospital schedule.
Responsible for the QA and integrity of the schedule in which the office specialty supports (example: Performs QA reviews on the Cath lab and OPCV schedule to ensure accuracy of the patients scheduled) and communicates any errors or discrepancies with PASC leadership. Also, once the error has been reported, takes ownership in resolving the concern to ensure no downstream anomalies for the patient.
Reviews the hospital outpatient schedule relating to the office specialty in order to backfill any open slots with patients awaiting similar testing.
Aids in the training of office staff members on the scheduling of outpatient diagnostic hospital procedures.
Expected to maintain intraoffice duties while supporting the assigned PASC pod with pre-registration, benefit collection, and estimate creation.
Expected to meet all goals set by department management to include, but not limited to; productivity, accuracy, collections, and customer satisfaction.
In addition to the above responsibilities, this position is also responsible for accurately performing any and all functions of a PASC Cardiology/Radiology Representative (60881) and a PASC OR Representative (60882).
PASC PRN's are responsible for accurately performing any and all functions of a Intra Office Scheduler, PASC Cardiology/Radiology Representative (60881) and a PASC OR Representative (60882).
