Position Summary:


As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will spearhead process engineering and production support for a designated product or product line, with a specialized focus on Electrical Engineering. Your role involves providing technical leadership to enhance processes and optimize efficiency. Preference will be given to candidates proficient in National Instrument’s Labview and/or Teststand development, ideally with previous experience in the medical device industry or regulated environments.


Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities Essential Functions:

-Resolve production process issues by employing problem-solving techniques to analyze, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

-Act as the Product Champion for specific products or product lines, overseeing operations and leading resolution efforts for production process issues.

-Lead process engineering and production support activities necessary for manufacturing product lines.

-Provide technical guidance and leadership to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency and product manufacturability.

-Offer technical expertise and hands-on support in the specification and implementation of assembly/test methods and process optimization.

-Support continuous improvement endeavors by conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.

-Establish the Manufacturing Quality Plan (MQP) for assigned products or product lines, defining process flow, production floor layout, equipment specifications, and more.

-Develop process procedures, change orders, equipment specifications, validation plans, and reports.

-Research technology, equipment, and tooling to improve process quality, yield, or cost, and generate proposals for purchase and implementation.

-Design test equipment, assembly equipment, fixtures, and tools, and conduct validation activities. -Collaborate with R&D and suppliers to enhance product robustness and manufacturability, both pre- and post-release.

-Supervise subordinate personnel as required.

-Lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma projects of significant scope and complexity.


Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience.

-Experience in providing technical support for the manufacturing of instrumentation and/or disposables is preferred.

-Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies is advantageous.

-Proficiency in Labview and/or Test Stand is highly desirable for automating lab testing procedures.
