We are currently recruiting a National Sales Manager for our client HAILO USA, located in Covington, Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and energetic self-starter with a solid track record in sales and marketing.

Our client HAILO, with global headquarters in Germany, is an international manufacturer of ladders, ladder systems and waste bins for homes, industry and trade professionals. All products are characterized by comfortable handling, top quality and safety. The U.S. headquarters in Covington, GA covers marketing & sales, customer service and warehouse operations with currently 5 employees.
HAILO USA sells via various online channels, retailers and distributors as well as external commission-based sales representatives. To ensure outstanding customer management and sales growth within existing channels, as well as ambitious additional growth through establishing new customers and sales channels, HAILO USA is looking for a highly skilled Sales Manager within their small but powerful Covington, GA operations.
About the Role
The National Sales Manager is responsible for delivering sustainable revenue and profit growth and expanding HAILO‘s market share and overall corporate value through various channels.
It is currently an individual contributor role which presents a great opportunity to shape and lead the future of HAILO USA sales organization by building a high-performance team to support optimal management of all clients and sales channels. In this highly dynamic and adaptable position the National Sales Manager assumes responsibility for setting prices, selecting suppliers, and refining the product portfolio to enhance the company's profitability.
The National Sales Manager will lead all key account, active sales and business development efforts in North America and will be tasked in managing and expanding all sales internal and external sales teams. This position is based out of the Covington, GA office, and likely requires travel as business demands. The National Sales Manger reports to the local VP and works closely with the German Headquarter.
Objectives and Key Responsibilities
- Identification and acquisition of new customers
- Building productive, trusting and long-term customer relationships in the international export business
- Support and further development of existing key accounts
- Growing existing sales channels in e-commerce and brick & mortar businesses
- Meeting sales and growth targets
- Development of joint market development strategies with customers
- Collaboration with internal departments such as product development and logistics to best meet customer requirements
- Independent execution of contract, price, listing and product range negotiations
- Continuous market observation and competitive analysis to identify innovative solutions and opportunities
- Participation in international trade fairs
Your profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering preferred
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in sales of durable consumer goods
- Strong technical aptitude with conceptual engineering ability
- Proficiency in managing complex, strategic sales processes and projects
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
- Analytical skills for interpreting market and sales data
- Capability to develop and implement strategic objectives
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential for effective communication across all levels
- Ability to thrive in cross-functional and international team environments
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in building long-term customer relationships
- Team-oriented with the flexibility to work independently or as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and CRM software (Microsoft CRM, Salesforce, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel internationally
