Position: Data Architect with Foreign Exchange experience

Location: Pittsburgh, PA/ Dallas, TX


Note: Hybrid 3 Days/Week


Summary: The role is aligned to the delivery team responsible for planning, development, and delivery of Insurance products for the Benchmarks and Indices business. This is a hands-on Data Architect with Trade Reporting experience with focus on delivering results on-time, in-full to the expected quality levels.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
  • Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming.
  • Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
  • Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams.
  • Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
  • Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.
  • Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
  • Educate staff members through training and individual support.
  • Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all trading data reporting requirements are met and assist in the resolution of any reporting issues.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and other IT team members to establish business needs and design appropriate solutions.
  • Develop high-level data strategies that align with the organization's overall vision

Job Descriptions:

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a data architect, data scientist, data analyst, or similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles and data modelling for trading systems.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as data modelling tools.
  • Proficiency in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modelling, Medilion Architecture) and data mining.
  • Knowledge of financial trading platforms and regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, Dodd-Frank).

Extensive experience on Trade Reporting

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and reporting software.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
