What is this team – Data Team in COO in investment banking division. Full service of data management / support/ governernance / visualizations / clean up - owns all the client information / deal information and meeting information that matters to the business.

The core essential data that’s required to by the senior executives and the organization. This data team is the team that owns the integration and strategy that drives the growth of the business right here.


What we are expecting form this candidate –

  1. Must have hands on experience In SQL and database and optimizing database performance designing schema and integrity. Will own the entire Data Warehouse / clean up / filtering / mapping / aggregating the data into the warehouse / the data sets. Client head count and new deals. SUPER DETAIL ORIENTED having strong knowledge of SQL and manipulate LARGE DATA SETS
  2. MUST HAVE Strong financial industry experience INVESTMENT BANKING EXPERINECE is a MUST work with a fast paced environment.
  3. Communicate sophisticated IT language and into business knowledge so the business can understand it. To communicate to non-technical stakeholders – bankers/ traders and senior IT
  4. DOES NOT TOUCH THE CODE – not coding – really translating code into a business friendly language to help the business understand. And formulate the requirements from the business side to IT language to build the infrastructure.
  5. Technical experience —must have Very strong SQL skills, macros and programming languages , help automate the off line spreadsheet and efficiency of the formulas they are using MACROS build and read the macros are important
  6. POWER BI experience is GOOD to have. To build data visuzlization deliverables to do the reporting to the senior teams.
  7. Good Team collaboration, including IT teams and project management team and COO data team, and senior executives. Must be able to articulate message and coordinate

4 rounds of interviews

  1. With - IT Member
  2. With VP/HM
  3. Technical interview with an Exam – SQL test or sit down with their data associate to test the sql skills
  4. Meet with Two MDs from the teams.


Working experience – they really want someone senior and very very hands on, own / mapping / clearning up the data for the client database, roll up the sleeves and get into the weeds

Work on the data sources and own the data infrastructure from beginning to end


Do not want someone very senior. Must be an individual contributor


The hours vary – 9-6 or 9-9 and work when needed. Pay for overtime. Yes


VENDOR QUESTIONS (answers are bolded)

Candidate should be able to understand the code – not code but understand it ?– Mainly SQL this is the data team. Manipulating the code or touch the code (java etc) ONLY NEED EXPERT SQL and PowerBI

VERY VERY MUCH COMPLEX SQL MUST BE VERY VERY EXCELLENT IN SQL and stored procedures Transact SQL We need someone with Advnaced SQL skills, writing / creating and use SQL as programming. Select update insert delete
