Position Summary: The R&D Chemist plays a crucial role in validating technical transfer projects, facilitating the scale-up of new products. In this capacity, they engage in key activities, including formulation blending in the lab and overseeing pilot batches during manufacturing. Collaborating closely with Quality and Engineering departments, the R&D Chemist ensures robust and effective technical commercialization plans while troubleshooting and optimizing processes.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry ,Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field.
  • 1-3 years in cosmetic formulation/product or process development
  • Independently conduct bench work, blending and validating tech transfer formulations.
  • Identify critical points, evaluate probable causes, and apply learnings to scale-up blends.
  • Monitor pilot and first-time scale-up blends.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control (QC) and Compounding teams to troubleshoot production issues related to processes or formulas.
  • Continuous improvement
  • Perform routine and physical testing of lab-scale batches, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records within the R&D system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong attention to detail.
