Calibration Technician in Chelmsford, MA
DIRECT HIRE
1st shift 7am-3:30pm
Pay rates: DOE

Tests, calibrates, and repairs electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards, and assists in formulating calibration standards by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Operates hydraulic load testing machines, automated testing machines, and dead weight calibrations.
Plans sequence of testing and calibration procedures for instruments and equipment.
Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
Measures parts for conformity with specifications.
Aligns, repairs, replaces, and balances component parts and circuitry, using soldering under a microscope.
Reassembles and calibrates instruments and equipment.
Devises formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.
Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.
Other duties may be assigned.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently,
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
