Candidates Only From Connecticut Will Be Considered : We are searching for someone based in Connecticut to work in our Madison CT office. This is not a remote position.


Our growing company is searching for two Web Developers to be responsible for the coding and programming of our many websites and back-end applications.


Web Developer's responsibilities may include building an application website from concept to completion, or converting an existing application into newer technology. Specific background in web development is required for consideration.


You are working in a team environment with other website development professionals in our Madison CT office. There is no travel required for this position.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay Benefits: Flexible schedule, paid time off.


Schedule: Monday through Friday


Education: Associates degree or higher.


Experience:

  • Back-end development 5+ years
  • PHP/MySQL 5+ years


Responsibilities:

  • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Create and maintain software documentation.
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the applications.
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.
  • Cooperate with our in-house web designers to match visual design intent.


Skills:

  • Familiarity with the following programming languages/services: PHP, MySQL, Javascript. Full Stack experience is desired.
  • A working knowledge of Symfony.
  • An in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS is a plus. Twig knowledge is also beneficial.
  • Extensive knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development.
  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
