Histology Technician II
Location: US: WI: WAUWATOSA at our FROEDTERT BLUEMOUND CLINICS facility
Work Type: Part-time.
Shift: 1st.
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, Histology Technician II prepares microscopic slides of human tissue for pathological examination for complex and special procedures that aid in the confirmation of patient diagnosis and course of treatment. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 1 year of histology technician experience is required. In lieu of experience, a Bachelor's degree may be accepted.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Histology Technician (HT) certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or other National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) accredited histology technician program within 1 year of hire. FH Cancer Center requirement: Mohs Technician Quality Assurance Training (MTQA) or within 1 year of hire.
