Our client, a well-established medical center, is hiring a Patient Access Representative to assist their front office This is a contract-to-hire position that offers the opportunity to get your foot in the door in the healthcare industry with little experience and many avenues for growth

Position: Patient Access Representative

Pay Rate:$19.33-$26.29

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm


Day to Day:

Day to day:

  • Schedule patient appointments in Epic via work ques, referrals, phone or fax
  • Obtain insurance authorizations through payor websites and/or phone for all outpatient and inpatient procedures
  • Run Medical Necessity Checks when needed and complete ABN
  • Capture and document patient demographics
  • Run Real Time Eligibility (RTE) to obtain insurance verification and benefits
  • Capture benefit information to be able to run Financial Estimate for scheduled procedures
  • Refer patients for financial counseling when applicable


Requirements:

1. 2 of 4-year college degree preferred

2. 2-3 years Medical experience OR 4 years customer service required
