Algorithm Engineer

My client, a Medical Device Developer and manufacturer of Wearable Devices in Warminster PA, is looking for an Algorithm engineer. Responsibilities in the position will consist of:

• Working with sensors and time series
• Producing meaningful insights and physiologic predictors from sensor data collected by a novel health monitoring system.

• Authoring and maintenance of efficient, scalable code intended to derive metrics from both live streaming (e.g. from embedded microcontrollers or cloud) and historical data.

• Designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying algorithms and data processing workflows; curating your work from start to finish.

• Iterating your work based on both external and internal feedback.

• Documenting your work; adhering to quality standards, effectively communicating information to technical and nontechnical audiences, generating impactful visual representations of data, and reporting results to external stakeholders and entities.

• Performing statistically sound analyses of your products and the data you work with collaborating across engineering disciplines to solve problems and improve on existing product.

Qualifications Required:

• Proven track record of career success in algorithm design and implementation. Solid understanding of data science principles and practice.

• Experience with one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, and C.

• Experience with MATLAB.

• Experience with statistical analysis.

• Understanding of machine learning methods and theory.

Preferred:

• 3-5 years of experience (or equivalent) and a BS or MS in Data Science or equivalent technical discipline.

• Previous work on time-series data, sensor fusion, and/or physiological data (e.g. accelerometry, EEG, EOG, PPG, ECoG) is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to work with a cross-functional engineering team. • Previous work in a healthcare or military-adjacent environment.

• Experience with PySpark and R.

• Experience with IoT and edge computing. • Demonstrated project experience with machine learning methods.

• Must come out of Medical Device, Healthcare, Military, Automotive could possibly work.
