Embedded API Inspector

Optik Technical Solutions, LLC seeks resumes for experienced and motivated API Certified Inspectors. The available, full-time, position will be embedded at a client site in Gonzales, LA. Qualifications

• API 510 & 570 certifications are required. Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience with at least one.
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Strong leadership skills and good personal discipline
• Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and fundamental knowledge of conflict resolution
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Pass a DISA drug screen and background check, and submit to random drug testing
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products (word, excel, etc.)

Preferred (not required)

• API 653 and CWI certifications

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a team environment
• Communicate effectively both written and verbally
• Compile field notes, historic documentation, and drawings to produce technical inspection reports
• Validate data prior to presenting it to the client
• Solve problems and manage time effectively
• Perform internal and external inspections on equipment and piping systems
• Recommend and approve repairs as well as perform visual inspection of completed work
• Ensure that all quality assurance and control practices, processes, and procedures are utilized and adhered to
• Demonstrate professionalism, and provide and maintain excellent customer service
• Enforce, promote, and adhere to all safe work policies and procedures
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude

• Willing to work overtime when required, including night shift and weekends
• Able to work at a computer for long periods
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Able to work from heights and small spaces
• Able to work in hot, cold, and/or noisy environments
