Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a permanent position that requires a nurse with specialized skills in internal medicine, rheumatology, outpatient care, multi-specialty clinics, and clinical education. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of patient care in a clinical setting, with a focus on ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained at all times. This role requires a commitment to continued professional development and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care within our outpatient department, specializing in rheumatology and other multi-specialty clinical areas.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens, including medication and pain management techniques.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. This includes physicians, social workers, physical therapists, and other nursing staff.
- Participate in research activities, clinical investigations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain current knowledge of advancements in rheumatology and related fields to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.
- Adhere to infection-control protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with a focus on rheumatology.
- Proven experience in an outpatient setting and multi-specialty clinic.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. A Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field is preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse License.
- Certification in Rheumatology Nursing (RN-BC) or the ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
- Exceptional patient care skills with the ability to respond to the emotional needs of patients and families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong knowledge of clinical procedures, medical terminology, and healthcare regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to educate patients and families in a clear and effective manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record software and healthcare databases.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
