Schedule: Full-Time, DIRECT HIRE
Position Summary Our client, a leading global designer and manufacturer of audiovisual solutions, is seeking an experienced Grinder/Sander to join their team on 2nd shift.
This position is responsible for grinding and sanding welded metal parts to meet quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate has experience using various grinding and sanding tools, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
Select and install the appropriate abrasive belts, wheels, sanding rolls, and discs based on job specifications and material conditions.
Operate a variety of tools, including large and small angle grinders, belt sanders, die grinders, orbital sanders, drum sanders, and hand files.
Visually and physically inspect parts for dents, scratches, rust, and other surface imperfections.
Grind and sand metal surfaces to remove scratches, tool marks, excess weld material, sharp edges, and burrs.
Ensure finished parts meet established quality standards and specifications.
Perform routine cleanup of equipment and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Assist with material handling and staging using manual pallet jacks and/or forklifts as needed.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and established work procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
