HRIS Analyst

Job Description Summary

Central to our small and lean HR team, the HRIS analyst is the IT and data expert in the HR field to ensure that our HRIS is effectively used, help employees to navigate Delta HRIS and Workday and other related systems to enhance the user experience, deliver exceptional customer service, implement project-based work, ability to work on multiple systems and modules to improve the business processes and integrations among different organizations and entities, and prepare the required reports to management

Key responsibilities and tasks

As an HRIS Analyst you will be the first line of support for our HRIS system, answering questions in a timely and thorough manner related to all modules.

  • Perform system configuration, test, and validate results within Delta HRIS and Workday environment, to meet business needs.
  • Design and develop custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to identify trends and assist with decision making.
  • Oversee data integrity to include quality, accuracy, security, and usability of employee data and related interfaces by implementing adequate processes and audits..
  • Continually maximize the capabilities of HR systems by researching and implementing new functionality and managing new feature releases with the goal of maintaining excellence in HR processes.
  • Troubleshoot system and integration issues with a sense of urgency and provide effective solutions.
  • Lead Workday Update cycles by researching upcoming features and functionality, understanding impact on current processes, and leading and documenting test efforts.
  • Act as administrator of HR Operations
  • Provide input and recommendations on all HR technology implementations and/or enhancements
  • Work closely with global HR team members to address any system inquiries or process issues
  • Continually and proactively make recommendations for process improvements and revisions, troubleshoot, and maintain all HR systems.
  • Deliver training and create training materials as needed
  • Collaborate and align business requirements with HR systems including working cross-functionally with other groups such as Finance and IT.

Requirements and Desired Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with HRIS/HCM system
  • Bachelor or higher Degree in Information Management
  • Experience working on teams and ability to demonstrate effective teamwork
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of HRIS systems and HR function
  • Effective and collaborative communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, some experience applying skills to resolve system issues
  • Excitement to jump from tactical to strategic with humility
  • Thrive in a feedback-rich environment and are constantly learning
  • Ability to solve challenging problems.
