Grain Quality Analyst Qualifications:

• Preferred candidate will have hands-on experience with total combustion analysis, elemental analysis, calorimetry, Gas Chromatography (GC), NIR Spectroscopy, NMR, total oil analysis, colorimetry, falling number, farinograph, mixograph, bench-top wet chemical analyses, LIMS and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Prefer a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology or a related field with at least one year of related industry experience. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.


Job Duties:

• Receipt, identification, and preparation of samples – ensure incoming samples are labeled correctly, appropriate analyses have been requested, prep and analyze samples according to ISO work instructions.

• Prioritization of analyses according to customer needs matched to capacity; organization and coordination of projects in a high throughput lab environment; obtaining analytical data; ensuring data integrity; functioning in multi-discipline teams and delivering laboratory results in an efficient manner.

• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

• Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor.
