Relocation Transport Planner

They are now seeking an Operations Planner / Dispatcher to be based in their Dulles, VA office.

Operations Planning experience within a Relocation organisation is essential in order to be considered for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and management of drivers for moves all over the United States.
• Manage daily delivery and work schedules to maximize coverage and keep all drivers on schedule.
• Interact with carrier partners to ensure move requirements are being met.
• Coordinate planning & dispatching of drivers to maximize profitability per trip.
• Ensure the drivers are planned properly within the DOT guidelines.
• Monitor dispatch board and adjust call priorities regularly based on caller needs.
• Review routes, daily traffic and weather conditions to adjust plans, meeting daily requirements and service needs.
• Utilize various software systems to facilitate movement, planning, and scheduling.
• Investigate and resolved customer and TSP issues to retain a friendly working environment.
• Handle incoming calls and emails from customers & drivers regarding issues with deliveries.
• Coordinate closely with other departments to facilitate smooth delivery operations.
• Evaluate existing procedures and make necessary adjustments to meet changing tonnage demands.
• Organized vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Maintained appropriate vehicle records.
• Recruit drivers to add to the growing fleet of the company.
