Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, with proficiency in troubleshooting various operating systems, wiring, networking, and providing excellent customer service both over the phone and in person. In this role, you will be responsible for working on service desk tickets, communicating with clients, and resolving service issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2 technical support to end users over the phone and in person
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows, OSX, and LINUX systems
- Perform network cabling and diagnosis as necessary for network infrastructure
- Configure and maintain network equipment and peripherals
- Assist with software and hardware installations and upgrades
- Ensure all support requests are documented and resolved in a timely manner
- Collaborate with team members to address complex technical issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records of IT equipment and supplies
- Time tracking and ticket management
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years IT support experience (5+ years preferred).
- Familiarity with Windows, OSX, and LINUX operating systems
- Proficient at troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Proficient at wiring tasks related to network infrastructure (CAT5/6 wiring)
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols
- Proficiency with managing and installation and administration of Microsoft Office products suite
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide support to end users effectively over the phone and in person
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus
