Position: Credentialing Specialist

Location: Brentwood, MO

Contract: 3+ months

Pay: $21-26/hr


Responsibilities:

  • Credential Verification: Review and verify credentials, licenses, certifications, and other pertinent documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with required standards.
  • Compliance Assessment: Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met, including the validity of licenses and currency of certifications.
  • Background Screening: Conduct thorough background checks to identify any potential issues that might impact an individual's eligibility or the organization's reputation.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update comprehensive records, monitor expiry dates, and ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all data.
  • Accreditation and Standards: Evaluate organizational policies and practices against industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between healthcare providers and the organization, addressing any credentialing issues and providing guidance on compliance.
  • Contract Preparation and Management: Draft and manage contracts using current research methods, ensuring that they fulfill legal standards and client needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a legal team to ensure contract terms are precise and enforceable.
  • Compliance Review: Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate contract terms to clients and stakeholders in clear, understandable language.
  • Document Management: Proofread, edit, and ensure accuracy of legal documents, maintaining consistency and adherence to style guides.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in credentialing, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards is preferred.
