The ideal candidate will become part of team that is setting new standards in Project Delivery for industry in applying new methods and new technology to create innovative and value-added results to every step of the process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of full estimates on large and complex projects as required by client documents.
- Analyze and negotiate contractor change orders and claims on behalf of the client.
- Consult with clients, architects, subcontractors, and material suppliers to discuss and formulate estimates, effect cost reductions, and resolve issues.
- Perform miscellaneous other job-related duties as assigned, which may include value engineering and progress review conferences.
Qualifications
- Ability to develop estimates at multiple phases from planning through construction.
- Knowledge of, and proficiency in discipline-related systems
- Four-year degree in a related field
- Ten (10) years of experience is required in the estimating field or in a related area which may include construction field engineering, contracting, claims and other industries relating to estimating.
- At least five (5) years; experience with a contractor during the construction phase of a project is strongly desired. Experience with large infrastructure and/or aviation projects required.
- Proficiency in computer skills including MS OFFICE suite.
- Proficient utilizing estimating tools
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Exhibit a high degree of professionalism in the production of deliverables and in interactions with fellow employees and clients.
- Strong desire to learn or expand upon new methods and software.
