Americas Gold and Silver is seeking a Safety Superintendent to join our Silver Valley operation in Wallace, ID. The Galena Mine provides opportunities in mechanized and conventional hard rock mining.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a qualified mining professional to work on a variety of projects, take charge of their career, and to make a difference on a small team in a dynamic work environment.
The Galena Mine is in the heart of beautiful north Idaho noted for its incredible outdoor recreational opportunities.

Education and/or Experience:
• High School diploma and 10+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree in safety or industrial hygiene and 5 years of experience.
Technological Requirements:
• Progressive safety and industrial hygiene experience with MSHA.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and accept responsibility for confidentiality.
• Solid working knowledge of underground mining operations.
• Thorough understanding of underground mining methods/terminology including health, safety, and environmental regulation.
• Demonstrated independent assessment and action skills with effective follow through.
• Good communication skills.
• Advocate of team concept.
• Must have good supervisory skills and be able to work in a diverse range of audiences and settings.
• Certified MSHA Instructor – Underground, Surface, and Mine Rescue
