Job Description

Technical Artist Lead: 3D Modeling and Simulation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the E2E product development lifecycle from inception, design, implementation, rollout and maintenance
  • Understand and if needed suggest ideas which will be necessary for the product maturity and development
  • Effectively design the E2E automated pipeline for each components
  • Understand the VFX pipeline: know the process of how VFX get created, be able to plan and implement an effective pipeline
  • Understand the challenges that come with photo realistic 3D generation
  • Understand the real time implementation challenges
  • Work collaboratively with different team members
  • Very good communication skills

Required skills

  • 5 to 10 years of Experience and Expertise in 3D modelling landscape
  • Expertise with creating photo realistic 3D assets/objects with a wide variety of characters
  • Expertise with creating photo realistic environments and scenes
  • Knowledge of scene generation landscape
  • Art: have a good understanding of form, colour and texture, and know how these elements work together, recognise what makes an image appear realistic in terms of light, colour, composition and perspective
  • Strong knowledge of lighting: understand colour space and the scientific principles behind creating realistic lighting and have a strong knowledge of lighting techniques
  • Knowledge of animation: have a good understanding of the principles and mechanics of animation
  • 3D: Art: be able to draw, have a good understanding of form, colour and texture, and know how these elements work together Interpretation: be able to create a 3D model from a 2D brief, decide upon the best method to complete a 3D model quickly, while having a required level of detail and quality
  • Understanding of AI (Computer vision). Familiarity with deep neural networks, machine learning
  • Good Software Engineering experience

  • Data generation frameworks like: Unreal engine, Blender, Nvidia’s Omniverse (depth in any one of these).
  • 3D Modelling

  • Machine learning, Computer Vision – OpenCV, image processing
