Laboratory Technician III

(This is a 6-month contract, with potential to extend/convert, for candidates local to Waco, TX)


Summary:

Perform routine analytical testing to support quality control testing of pharmaceutical products. Some data interpretation required. Coordinate testing of samples and input data into computer application. Should have good laboratory skills, preferably in pharma/biotech. Experience in operating analytical equipment preferred (analytical balance, total carbon analyzer, spectrophotometer, pH meter). Should exhibit good problem solving skills. Should possess computer skills as well as good communication skills.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field and 3+ years experience with basic HPLC instrumentation in a lab setting
  • Experience with pharma/biotech quality control testing is preferred but not required.
  • GMP Laboratory Setting experience
  • Wet Chemistry techniques
  • HPLC / GC testing and/or data
  • Data acquisition software experience/skills (Chromeleon, Chem station, Empower)
  • Attention to detail
  • Well organized


The shifts offered will be dependent on the skills of the candidates hired (3 positions open).

  • 1st shift Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
  • 2nd shift Mon-Fri 2pm-10pm
  • 2nd shift Sun-Thu 2pm-10pm
  • 1st shift Tue-Sat 8am-5pm


Pay Range: $18-23/hr *dependent on experience
