Required Skills & Experience


- Bachelor's degree (accounting, business, or finance) or 1-3+ years of professional experience making payments to taxing authorities

- Strong understanding of payroll concepts, compliances, practices, and procedures

- Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, such as debits/credits, accrual accounting, and profit & loss statements

- Background in Excel (pivot/VLOOKUP’s), MS Office, and payroll software

- Ability to work with/maintain confidential data and be detail-oriented

- Collaborative spirit, self-motivated, and comfortable under pressure


Nice to Have Skills & Experience


- Professional Payroll Certification

- FPC or CPP (or working towards it)

- 2+ years of experience using SAP to process payroll, handling transaction management, reports, and OM/PA payroll processing


Job Description


Insight Global is looking for a Payroll Tax Analyst to join the team of one of our large distribution clients This candidate will oversee all payroll tax functions, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, and managing the filing of payroll tax returns at all levels. They will prepare Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS) worksheets, make tax payments electronically or via phone, and prepare check requests and coupons. Also, they will research and reconcile tax liabilities and payments, maintain Excel sheets of Schedule B tax payments, and make note of taxable wages, taxes withheld, and taxes paid by reporting frequency. Day-to-day this candidate will also handle reconciliations, distribution of W-2s, and ensure an organization documentation system. They'll rectify any system errors within the SAP Payroll system and create effective relationships with key personnel.
