The purpose of this position is to monitor, maintain, and improve the network. This is an opportunity to work on key networking projects that will standardize and improve network operations.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Monitor and maintain the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems and wireless networks.
  • Assist in planning, designing, and implementing secure networking solutions.
  • Drive standardization and automation into all aspects of the network platform
  • Develops physical or virtual segmentation schemes to satisfy various connectivity requirements.
  • Ensure networking best practices are implemented and secure network operation is maintained.
  • Deploy and oversee configurations of cutting-edge firewall technologies.
  • Manage and maintain the corporate phone system.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with other IT team members.
  • Serve as a technical resource to various problem-solving groups within the facilities serviced.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in business related area or Computer Science preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a complex enterprise network environment.
  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS and creating\managing VLANS required.
  • Advanced Network Infrastructure Management (Segmentation, VLANS) including firewall deployment and management
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere technologies is a plus.
  • Cisco Certifications are a plus.
  • Must have solid interpersonal skills with the ability to listen well, and work in a team environment with a positive attitude.
