Oncology Registered Nurse

Pride Health is hiring for an Oncology RN at one of our clients in Brandywine, MD (Contract)

Contract: 13 week contract

Pay Rate: $35-40/hour

Job Duties:

• Prepares and administers chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications as directed by a physician, ensuring proper supervision. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures and maintains efficient patient flow in exam rooms.
• Records patient information before each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes. Adheres to disinfection protocols for exam rooms and promptly assesses patients for any changes in condition or reactions to treatments.
• Stays updated on reimbursement procedures and ensures completion of all chemotherapy charge forms. Obtains necessary pre-authorization and consent forms before administering therapies.
• Demonstrates proficiency in using and maintaining ambulatory infusion pumps, including cleaning after use and accurately documenting pump usage. Facilitates dose adjustments by assessing patients, reviewing labs, consulting treatment protocols, and collaborating with physicians.
• Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports, and maintains central line catheter devices. Administers medications and blood products with precision, following correct dosage, route, and technique. Provides instruction to patients or caregivers on the use of portable infusion pumps for at-home drug delivery.

Must have qualifications/experience:

• Active RN license
• Fast-paced clinic experience
• Oncology experience preferred
