LAT Specialist

Purpose

Reporting to the Director of Linbeck Applied Technologies (LAT) and Senior VDC Specialist, this position will be responsible for providing models and documents, LAT technical support, and 3d modeled content by others.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required, in Construction, Engineering, or Architecture
• 1+ years commercial construction related experience (internships included) in project coordination efforts involving 3D modeled content.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform work accurately and completely in a timely manner
• Good communication skills; verbal and written.
• Effective meeting/presentation skills.
• Knowledge of Lean processes.
• Effective problem solving and conveyance of solutions.
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of general BIM technologies and the overall application of said technologies.
• Knowledge of BIM technology solutions at an intermediate level (or at least the willingness to learn) including:
• Autodesk Revit (intermediate)
• Autodesk Navisworks Manage (intermediate)
• Autodesk BIM 360 (beginner)
• Trimble Sketchup (beginner)
• Bluebeam (beginner)
• Laser Scanning processes (beginner)
• Synchro (beginner)

Primary Duties for VDC Specialist

• Provide models and documents necessary to complete scope as determined with LAT and project teams
• Assemble 3D content modeled by others
• Learn and maintain efficient BIM processes
• Maintain working relationships with subcontractors and project teams
• Responsibility for learning the LAT/VDC processes and standards and apply them to projects
• Provide models and documents necessary to complete scope determined by LAT and project teams such as Base models (arch/str), quality models, and logistics models.
• Incorporate design updates into project models
• Develop federated models by assembling 3d content produced by others
• Analyze models looking for errors and missions and making corrections if necessary
