What will the Support Specialist do?

  • Provide basic tech support, primarily resolving Wi-Fi and computer issues for residents
  • Handle 3-8 support tickets per day, including resetting computers and troubleshooting minor connectivity problems
  • Split time between email support and on-site troubleshooting in resident apartments/cottages
  • Potential involvement in event support during quieter periods, assisting with power and audio setup
  • Work closely with the Resident Services department, spending half the time at the desk and half in the field supporting residents


What are the requirements for the role?

  • Familiarity with basic tech troubleshooting (formal IT background not required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to patiently assist elderly residents
  • Comfortable with light physical activity, such as walking between apartments on a large campus
  • Independent worker who can balance desk-based tasks with field support
