Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Statements of Work (SOW), vendor selection, and vendor oversight, including invoice verification.
  • Utilize Clarity tool expertise for EPIC management, encompassing scope, cost, schedule, status, issues, and risk.
  • Implement EPMO controls and manage JSR Batch Salesforce administration for metrics/tracking burndown.
  • Handle COSA communications, including metrics, tracking, and upcoming/past due items for COSA owned execution.

Key Duties:

  • Drive the implementation of moderately to highly complex work, ensuring confidentiality and enterprise-level visibility to achieve strategic business goals.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve program milestones within established timeframes.
  • Manage risk using established risk management practices to address execution challenges related to quality, schedule, and costs.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities for moderately complex work efforts to accomplish goals within specified timeframes, scope, and budget.
  • Ensure consistent visibility for teams by monitoring and reporting business objectives and key indicators.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and executive/senior management, providing insight on issues through root cause analyses.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, vendors, and project/program teams to identify mutually beneficial outcomes for competing priorities and negotiate timelines.
  • Facilitate collaboration on creative alternatives to project challenges with subject matter experts.
  • Remove obstacles and impediments to ensure business and operational objectives are met.
  • Develop, track, and oversee project budgets, including capital expenditures, operational expenses, and labor funding requirements.
  • Manage ambiguity and seek to drive clarity among project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Define control and overall delivery of work efforts to meet goals, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Establish overall cadence for communication with impacted stakeholders and provide a framework for communication plans.
  • Identify and determine interdependencies within work efforts.
  • Participate in work effort closure activities to determine benefit/business impact realization.
  • Proactively manage risk and support escalation to resolve issues.
  • Adhere to EPMO processes, procedures, controls, standards, tools, and templates.
  • Drive adoption and challenge standards, leading subject matter experts.
  • Drive the adoption and sustainment of changes within the organization in compliance with USAA’s Change Management methodology.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 8 years of relevant experience in project or program management, including planning, tracking, and delivery.
  • Expert knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in project and program management, delivering complex work efforts using recognized methodologies (i.e., Waterfall and Agile).
  • Collaboration skills in a matrixed environment, including providing consultative guidance to solve enterprise-level issues.
  • Extensive experience leading complex projects with a significant number of deliverables, including information technology and dependencies across the organization, within defined scope and budgets with aggressive timelines.
  • Extensive understanding of risk management policies and procedures.
