Analytics Manager

In this role you will be responsible for surfacing data-driven opportunities for the business functions (Content, Marketing, Product, and/or New Growth/International). You will provide tactical, operational, economic, and financial analysis to frame and drive decisions, develop KPIs and scorecards to track initiative progress/performance and scientific models to drive a focus on results and execution.


This is a 8 month contract role and is onsite 2-3 days per week in Newark, NJ.


Basic qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the areas of Strategic Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Consulting in a digital environment or in a related field.
  • Quantitative degree (Sciences, Operations Research (OR), Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar field) or equivalent experience in a data driven/analytical role
  • Background in content/media, marketing tech, subscription business, and/or internet industries preferred - an understanding of ecommerce analytics, marketing analytics, experimentation, membership/loyalty analytics and revenue management techniques a plus
  • Knowledge of data/analytical tools – Strong experience with SQL ; experience using data visualization tools like Tableau or Microstrategy; knowledge of statistics and modeling; experience with Python, R, Jupyter, other analytics/data science tools


Preferred qualifications

  • MS degree (Sciences, Operations Research (OR), Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar field) or equivalent experience in a data driven/analytical role
  • Proficiency in Python, R or other analytics/data science tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills
