Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Lead Machinist to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our Manufacturing unit, driving the design and creation of quality precision parts and tools. The successful candidate will have a strong background in various machining operations, including Mill, Lathe, Mill Turn, and 5 Axis. This role requires a deep understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, safety management, and quality control. As a Permanent Lead Machinist, you will oversee the machining department, ensuring the smooth operation and high productivity of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all machining operations, including Mill, Lathe, Mill Turn, and 5 Axis.
2. Interpret and implement CNC programs, read and understand complex blueprints, and create precision parts and tools.
3. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
4. Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet design specifications and quality standards.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
6. Train and mentor junior machinists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Collaborate with the design and manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and enhance product quality.
8. Maintain and repair machining equipment and tools, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
9. Continually review and improve machining processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices, applying this knowledge to our operations.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machinist in the manufacturing industry.
2. Extensive experience with Mill, Lathe, Mill Turn, and 5 Axis.
3. Proficiency in CNC programming and blueprint reading.
4. Strong knowledge of safety management and quality control in a manufacturing environment.
5. Experience with Tool and Die fabrication.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
7. Ability to work independently and lead a team.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. High attention to detail and precision.
10. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
11. A commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
12. Technical degree or certification in Machining or a related field is preferred.
