Position: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Plymouth, MN | Irvine, CA

Duration: 12 months


Job Description:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate production equipment and provide production support and process validation.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Write protocols and reports.
  • Modify and generate manufacturing process documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Develop and implement process improvements.
  • Support the production of a catheter product – diagnostic (mix of electrical, magnetic, mechanical).


Additional Notes:

  • Onsite role: 100% onsite position.
  • Preferred Candidates: Local candidates are preferred, but non-local candidates are welcome to apply if they are willing to relocate at their own expense.
  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering (internship or hands-on experience preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential. Experience with troubleshooting and hands-on work in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Previous Experience: Medical device experience is preferred. Experience in operations and working with production teams is a plus.
  • Work Environment: The role involves being on the clean room floor for about 80% of the day and responding to escalations from operators. The position requires strong problem-solving, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Team Structure:
  • Engineering Team: 1 technician on 1st shift, 2 engineers on 1st shift (including the hiring manager), and 1 engineer on 2nd shift (this role).
  • Operations Team: ~60-80 operators, 3 supervisors, 5 group leads, and production trainers.
  • Interview Process:
  • Initial Step: 30-minute phone screen.
  • Onsite: 90-minute interview (broken into 3 segments of 30 minutes).
