Insurance Defense Attorney

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in various insurance defense cases, ensuring effective legal representation and protecting client interests in civil litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in insurance defense litigation cases including but not limited to negligent security and premises liability.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Participate in depositions, mediations, and court hearings as necessary.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop effective defense strategies.
  • Stay up to date on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to insurance defense and civil litigation.
  • Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are informed throughout the process.

Qualifications

  • Jurisdictional license to practice law in the relevant state.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense and civil litigation.
  • Strong background in areas such as trucking, construction defect, and wrongful death claims.
  • Proven trial practice experience with the ability to represent clients effectively in court.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
