ERP Functional Analyst III

Location: Houston, TX 77079

Contract Duration: Until 11/17/2025, with potential for extension


Department Overview:

The team handles various finance-related functions including Accounts Receivable (A/R), Projects, and Fixed Assets. Currently, there is no dedicated resource for Fixed Assets, so this role will focus on managing the Fixed Assets function, particularly in relation to ERP projects for newly acquired U.S. utility companies. A key challenge is managing and converting large data sets, which require segmenting and consolidating into more manageable pieces for integration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business functional teams to support ERP projects, focusing on Fixed Assets.
  • Provide expertise in Fixed Assets data profiling, scoping, quality review, conversion approach, validation, and issue resolution.
  • Assist the Internal Controls team in documenting control points within business processes.
  • Utilize Excel (including Power Pivots), Power BI, and SQL to pull and analyze data.
  • Perform data mining, using Excel and VLOOKUP to build and validate templates with business teams.
  • Work on large-scale data sets, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the process.
  • Monitor and report data readiness progress, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Support the conversion and validation of data to meet project timelines and requirements.
  • Participate in the review of Functional Designs, Conversion Designs, and Integration Designs to identify data impacts.
  • Leverage experience with PowerPlan, SAP, and Oracle Cloud to help align and transform data.
  • Contribute to project status updates and coordinate efforts within the team to meet deadlines.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4-5 years of experience with Fixed Assets, with strong expertise in data profiling and validation.
  • Experience with Oracle Fixed Assets or PowerPlan Fixed Assets is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus, especially as Fixed Assets data is transitioning to SAP.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel (including Power Pivot) and experience with data analysis tools like Power BI and SQL.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight project deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage and analyze large data sets, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions.
  • Industry experience in energy storage and distribution is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field (degree not required).


Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with large-scale, complex project implementations, including go-lives and cutovers.
  • Knowledge of data standards and data quality reporting.
  • Experience in the energy storage and distribution industry.
  • Familiarity with large enterprise programs and data transformation.


Interview Process:

  • Virtual interviews will be held in December.
  • On-site interview in Houston, TX.
  • Expected start date is the first week of January.


This role plays a critical part in the data implementation phase of an ERP project for newly acquired U.S. utility companies. It will involve working closely with functional teams, managing data readiness, and ensuring the successful conversion and validation of data.
