Employment Type: Contract/Hybrid
Location: Mountain View, CA (Locals preferred)
Pay rate: $80-$90/hr, DOE
Responsibilities:
- Execute in-depth data analysis that leads to findings/results that drive business proposal/decisions, can clearly communicate with business partners on findings and recommendations verbally and through presentation
- Produce adhoc/repeatable reporting which provides regular insight and updates on profile distribution and performance trend, that points to potential abnormal trend or opportunities
- Test and implement policy into decision engine and ensure flawless execution of intent
- Contribute to end-to-end problem-solving and strategic support for new business initiatives.
- Partner with fellow analysts and stakeholders on subject matter knowledge, self-service solutions and processes to ensure they are repeatable, sustainable and scalable
Requirements:
- BS in an appropriate quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Econometrics, Operations Research)
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong analytical skills and logical thinking to produce the simplest yet robust solution to complicated problems.
- Ability to understand stakeholders' business requirements and translate to technical requirements.
- Ability to own a project end-to-end, from understanding requirements, to formulating a solution, to convincing stakeholders that your solution works as required.
- Basic understanding of statistics.
- Understanding lending Credit Risk.
- Tableau
- Python
- Database Management
Nice to have:
- Python skills a big plus
- MS in an appropriate quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Econometrics, Operations Research)
- Working skills in Python and/or shell scripting a plus.
- Prior lending business knowledge from other financial institutions or fintech area is a plus.
- Prior experience with the following is a plus: Github or similar source control, Hadoop & Hive, AWS, VBA.
