Overview

Responsible for Set-up and Processing on all Plastics Molding Machines.

**Available for 2nd or 3rd shift**

Responsibilities

1) Set-up and start-up from “scratch” molding process parameters and robot settings on plastics molding machines.

2) Oversee and assist with mold “sets”.

3) Approve mold sets prior to start of production.

4) Configure end-of-arm robot tooling and program robot.

5) Trouble-shoot and correct molding defects to eliminate scrap and optimize process efficiency.

6) Review machine and process yields.

7) Assist with training of Process Technicians.

8) Perform regular press rounds to review part quality, tooling condition, machine condition, and proper mold sets to ensure that production standards (productivity and quality) are being met.

9) Advise maintenance of equipment problems & required repairs required with written Maintenance Work Orders.

Qualifications

  • Must pass a drug and background check
  • Preferred at least 6 years experience as molding technician with setups and operating
  • Must be able to be on feet for 8 hours
  • Corrected vision to a minimum of 20/30
