Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.


Summary:

Global Power Components supplies fabricated metal enclosures, tanks, and accessories to the electrical power industry. This role is responsible for the heartbeat of the plant; programming jobs for eight different cutting machines including Amada Fiber Lasers, Turret punch presses, and plasma cutting tables.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Organize CAD files from design engineers.

2. Use SigmaNest software to create cut packages. Use tools within SigmaNest to;

a. Maximize utilization

b. Increase use of remnants

c. Use available stock material

3. Keep multiple cutting machines organized and balanced based on machine capabilities and material properties.

4. Creatively solve production-related issues through nesting processes.

5. Select machine and tooling configurations to manufacture parts cost effectively.

6. Respond to requests for rework.

7. Communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders; support production-related priorities and deadlines.


REQUIREMENTS

1. Experience with SigmaNest software.

2. Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office platforms.

3. Experience operating CNC equipment cutting sheet/plate is a plus.

4. Experience with AutoCad &/ Solidworks is a plus.

5. Knowledge of metal cutting, dimensional tolerancing, cutting geometry, and tooling.

6. Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical including drug screen.
