Job Title: Warehouse Compliance, OSHA and Fire Protection (NFPA) Specialist


Overview: We are currently seeking a Warehouse Compliance, OSHA and Fire Protection (NFPA) Specialist to join our team at our New Jersey warehouse office. The ideal candidate will have approximately 7-8 years of experience, a strong background in OSHA compliance, fire protection systems, and warehouse setup. Experience in conducting risk assessments of warehouse setups is highly desirable.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • candidate must possess an OSHA 30 certification and have experience in warehouse operations.
  • candidate must possess an NFPA training record.
  • implement, and maintain comprehensive OSHA compliance programs specific to warehouse operations.
  • regular audits and inspections of the warehouse facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems in the warehouse, including fire alarms, sprinklers and suppression systems.
  • thorough risk assessments of warehouse setups to identify potential safety hazards and implement appropriate controls.
  • training (& materials) to warehouse staff on OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols.
  • with warehouse management to develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and improve safety performance.
  • accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • current with changes in OSHA regulations, fire protection standards, and industry best practices.
  • in the development and implementation of other compliance programs as needed.

Requirements:

  • degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 7-8 years of experience in warehouse operations and compliance.
  • knowledge of ISO and CTPAT standards.
  • communication and interpersonal skills.
  • to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • to be on-call duty to address issues at the warehouse
