The Solon, Ohio site is dedicated to designing and manufacturing both projection X-ray and 3D Computed Tomography (CT) systems, incorporating state-of-the-art X-ray generation and detection technology.

Job DESCRIPTION:

The job title will be determined based on the qualifications of the successful candidate. This position will focus on developing, implementing, evaluating, and applying novel CT image generation and analysis techniques for CT scanners, including photon counting CT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Actively participate the development and implementation of CT image generation methods, including data corrections, image reconstruction, and image processing
  • Get involved in the integration of new Computed Tomography (CT) scanner systems; Collect and analyze data; Write software for data analysis; Design experiments for testing algorithms and features.
  • Prototype advanced image processing algorithms around image reconstruction
  • Tune image processing algorithms to enhance image quality

Required skills:

  • Thorough understanding of CT physics and associated biophysics
  • Strong background in Digital Signal Processing, Background in Digital Image Processing is a plus
  • Excellent mathematics, numerical algorithm and analytical skills

Preferred experience:

  • Ph.D. in Math/Physics/Medical Physics or similar discipline
  • Photon counting imaging experience is highly desired.
  • experience with design, development, and implementation of CT scanners or similar medical equipment.

COMPUTER & ANALYTICAL SKILLS

· Programming Experience in: C or C++, and MATLAB or python
