The Director of Compensation will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the compensation programs for the Americas within this global, diversified industrial. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align compensation practices with the company's overall objectives while ensuring competitiveness within the industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of compensation principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate employees while aligning with the company's goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee the administration of all compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, bonuses, and equity plans.
  3. Conduct regular benchmarking and market analysis to ensure the company's compensation packages remain competitive.
  4. Lead the annual salary review process, including budgeting, salary structure analysis, and merit increase recommendations.
  5. Collaborate with Finance and other relevant departments to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting of compensation expenses.
  6. Provide guidance and support to HR Business Partners and hiring managers on compensation-related matters, including job evaluations, offer negotiations, and equity grants.
  7. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in compensation and benefits.
  8. Manage relationships with external vendors, such as compensation consultants and benefits providers.
  9. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CCP, CBP) is preferred.
  2. 3+ years of experience in compensation management, with 1 or more years in a leadership role.
  3. Strong understanding of compensation principles, including job evaluation, salary benchmarking, and incentive plan design.
  4. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement compensation strategies that support organizational objectives.
  5. Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  7. Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to coach and develop team members.
  8. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical behavior.
  9. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  10. Proficiency in HRIS and compensation management systems is preferred.
