Construction Project Manager - Asheville, NC


About Us:

An established North Carolina general contractor is looking for a Project Manager in Asheville. This company is focused on building high-quality commercial projects that shape the vibrant landscape of our community. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering exceptional results on projects across different sectors.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of assigned commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage and collaborate with a team of construction personnel, including subcontractors, field crews, and engineers.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, fostering open communication with all stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, identify potential challenges, and implement corrective actions to maintain project progress.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and protocols on the job site, prioritizing a culture of safety awareness.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, material reports, and change orders.
  • Manage project budgets and track project costs, identifying and implementing cost-saving solutions when feasible.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Proactively address challenges and make sound decisions to keep projects on track.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with construction software programs (e.g., Primavera, Procore) is a plus.
  • Valid North Carolina driver's license.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
