C2 client, a creative branding and strategy agency that transforms beliefs into authentic behavior through the power of culturally disruptive ideas, is searching for a Junior Art Director (0-2 years) to join their team. As an Art Director you’ll collaborate with the creative team to concept big ideas and develop them into powerful visual narratives, considering not just how the story is told through words, but images and rich design language.


This role will be primarily focused on concepting and executing brand initiatives ranging from rebranding to social/digital campaigns, employer brand initiatives, and supporting communication campaigns.


Start date: As soon as they find the right candidate

Duration: Full-time, direct hire

Location: Onsite in Milwaukee, WI

Compensation: Competitive salary based on skills and experience

Job Description:

At this agency, a good story is everything. They seek a conceptual Art Director who can contribute to their growing creative team. Working on a wide range of clients — from the biggest and most established brands in the world to nimble brands that make your life’s work incredibly rewarding, you’ll oversee and architect the creative product that has given them a reputation for cultural disruption.


What They're Looking For:

  • Incredible design tactician with brand identity and smart conceptually-led integrated campaign work
  • Agency experience working as part of a team and or independently leading projects
  • Stellar organizational skills to keep work on-time, and within budget
  • Ability to concept across traditional and nontraditional channels (digital, social, experiential, earned media, etc.)
  • Stunning portfolio that shows process - from concept to reality and can articulate it in written and visual form
  • Solid presentation skills: confidently present your work to both internal teams and clients as well
  • Hunger for what’s next and new: in culture yes, but also new and emerging art & design mediums, design technology
  • Ability to get it done: as a nimble team, they're all doers. They work on short deadlines and limited information; must be a self starter​
  • Contribute to various client and internal projects under direction of Creative Director
  • Ensure innovative and timely solutions to creative asks
  • Help elevate the design edge of the agency and pioneer new skills

  • Nice: Seriously. NOT kidding. The right candidate for this art director role MUST be nice.


Qualifications and Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) in, Art, Design, Advertising, or relevant field
  • 0-2 years of agency experience as a designer or Art Director with experience working on projects from concept to completion
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD a must. Premier, Animate, After Effects a plus.
  • A working ability in PowerPoint, MS Office Suite and Google Docs
  • Experience working in and around video and web production is a plus but not required
