Job Summary:
The Senior Accounting Analyst will be responsible for supporting and optimizing our Acumatica ERP system while also performing traditional senior accounting functions. This role will be split approximately 70% in supporting and enhancing our Acumatica ERP system for both our US and London offices, with a focus on Acumatica, and 30% performing senior-level accounting tasks, including importing journal entries, conducting account analysis, and supporting banking functions. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys both the technical aspects of ERP systems and the foundational aspects of accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Systems (70%)

  • Lead and manage the ongoing administration, configuration, and optimization of Acumatica ERP.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to improve financial operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and IT to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Troubleshoot Acumatica-related issues and work closely with IT teams or external consultants for resolution.
  • Assist in system upgrades, testing, and implementations related to the accounting functions.
  • Develop and provide training to end-users on Acumatica and its modules.

Accounting Functions (30%)

  • Import and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and analyses to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Support banking activities, including reconciliations and communication with financial institutions.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and financial controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years of hands-on Acumatica ERP experience.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger functions and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, with moderate to advanced skills in Acumatica.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate financial needs into system solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant certifications is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in implementing ERP systems or accounting software.
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
