Compensation:
- In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
- This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus (Paid in two installments - 1/3 Months of employment).

Role Summary:

Home to Stay offers short-term, intensive parenting education and counseling for birth, and kinship families at risk of having their children placed out of the home. This risk may stem from the children's behavioral, emotional, or mental health issues or from caregivers lacking the skills to manage these behaviors or ensure a safe home environment. Our clinicians provide in-home, direct support to both parents and children.
- Responsible for delivering and coordinating Mental Health Services to clients and families as defined by Wayfinder’s Policy and Procedures, the Core Practice Model, and county department standards. Such services are inclusive of, but not limited to, conducting intake screenings, processing the steps for admission, performing client assessments, developing individualized care plans/treatment plans with clients and families, conducting individual, group and/or family therapy to address treatment plan and engaging family members/caregivers/identified support persons in regular collateral contacts/sessions.
- Responsible for delivering parent coaching and/or therapeutic interventions/services to and/or on behalf of the client as established by the treatment plan and care plan and consistent with established standards of practice and standards of proficiency discussed and established in clinical and administrative supervision.
- Monitors and documents client’s progress towards meeting the client goals and areas identified in the treatment plan and ECBY assessment.
- Responsible for the development/reiteration of individualized safety plans in response to Crisis Intervention as well as for face-to-face contact with clients following discharge from any and all psychiatric hospitalizations to assess the client’s mental status, coordinating care amongst service providers and client supports and the development/reiteration of an individualized safety plan.
- Develops the treatment plan with the client and/or family in a manner that is inclusive of client and family strengths, assessment information, identified long-term goals, individualized objectives, life domains, and needs that must be addressed to achieve the child and family goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- A master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
- California licensure as an Associate Social Worker (ASW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), in good standing and registration with the BBS is required.
- Bilingual Spanish, preferred.
- Two years of experience working high-risk children, adolescents, adults and/or families within the Mental Health, Educational, Child Welfare and/or Juvenile Probation systems preferred.
