Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled Audio/Visual Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of video and podcasting equipment, technical troubleshooting abilities, and the capacity to work efficiently both in-studio and on-location. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our podcast recordings, from setup to post-production.


Responsibilities:

  • Record high-quality video and audio in-studio and remotely.
  • Set up and tear down recording equipment for studio sessions and remote recordings.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during recording sessions, ensuring minimal disruptions to the production process.
  • Record video podcasts in remote locations as needed, ensuring top quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the production team to provide input on equipment upgrades and enhancements.
  • Assist with post-production tasks as needed.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of equipment and accessories, ensuring everything is properly stored and maintained.
  • Demonstrate a keen attention to detail, ensuring that video & audio quality meets our high standards.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with video and audio equipment.
  • Proficiency with Sony a7 siii cameras, Rodecaster Pro ii, and other industry-standard video and podcasting gear.
  • Experience with basic lighting setups for video shoots.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Experience recording podcasts in both studio and remote settings.
  • Experience shooting long-form videos.
  • Understanding of video codecs, file transfers, and media management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of post-production techniques and software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, etc).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • A passion for video and audio production and a commitment to delivering high-quality content.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Provide samples of previous work to demonstrate your proficiency and expertise in audio engineering.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal education or training in video production, audio engineering, broadcasting, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced podcast production environment.
  • Familiarity with podcasting platforms and video archiving technologies.
