Position Summary:
The primary role of this position is to provide Building Information Modeling (BIM) support for ARY Engineering’s various industrial manufacturing clients in the Pacific Northwest. This will involve completing daily activities at ARY’s main office in Richland, Washington, and industrial production facilities across the region. Responsibilities associated with this position include collaborating across disciplines and teams to create detailed models, drawings, specifications, and prototypes. In addition, the successful execution of this position will require conducting design reviews with internal and external stakeholders and adjusting content to ensure accuracy and quality. A qualified candidate for this position must possess the following experience, education, and technical expertise:
Key Responsibilities:

- Determine the accuracy of existing 2D and 3D facility documentation and consolidate relevant aspects.
- Update and modify existing models and related documentation as needed.
- Conduct reviews of building designs for clash detection and resolution.
- Develop and maintain BIM templates according to applicable standards.
- Produce 3D models of existing content within PDFs and DWGs.
- Utilize 3D scanning technology to produce point clouds of industrial facilities and equipment and generate accurate 3D models.
- Develop Synchro 4D and 5D BIM models according to client specifications.
- Develop custom Revit family content based on project needs.
- Travel to client locations to document and verify critical elements of existing equipment and facilities (as-builts).
- Interpret equipment and facility drawings to develop precise 3D models (Digital Twin).
- Develop conceptual 3D designs of industrial equipment to client specifications.
- Proactively manage and communicate the status of outstanding tasks to the assigned Project Manager.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within internal processes and discuss findings with key stakeholders.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- AAS in Engineering Technology (CAD) or equivalent. Relevant experience may be substituted for this requirement.
- 1-4+ years of experience with Revit
- 1-4+ years of experience with Navisworks
- 1-4+ years of experience with BIM 360
- 1-4+ years of experience with AutoCAD
- 1-4+ years of experience with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with developing Revit family content.
- Experience working with 3D scanners and point clouds.
- Proficiency in performing quantity take-offs (as-builts).
- Must be comfortable navigating complex industrial environments.
- Engagement with vendors, fabricators, and internal staff for project execution.
This position will report directly to ARY Engineering’s CAD Manager for all employment and company-related matters at our main office in Richland, Washington.
Physical Demands:
This position requires the physical ability to work in a traditional office environment and industrial facilities. The physical demands that can be expected are as follows:
- Extended periods of sedentary work.
- Extended periods of standing, walking, climbing, and lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Occasionally stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching.
- Conducting work in uncomfortable surroundings.
Compensation & Benefits:
Direct hourly pay range: $30.00-$47.50*
