Founded in 1948, privately held Betty Dain Creations designs, manufactures and distributes fun, functional, performance driven apparel, tools and accessories for the beauty industry. Our innovative products are clever, offer superior quality, excellent value and are typically first-to-market. BDC is home to seven brands that cater to the functionality and fashion preference of today’s beauty professional and the at home, healthy hair care enthusiast. Our unique brands (Colortrak, Betty Dain, Barber Strong, Adama, etc) are in markets around the world.


eCommerce Shopify Developer will be a Miami, FL, office-based hybrid position. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position will have a primary focus on managing, maintaining, designing, and optimizing all websites and Shopify for the company’s multiple brands. Leveraging skills for website design, UX/UI, coding, content management, page building, conversion optimization, site speed, SEO, and overall functionality to help achieve rapid growth projections. The workload is 60% development and 40% ECOM managerial/data analysis.


JOB DESCRIPTION: (Including But Not Limited To The Below)

• Responsible for all day-to-day operations of Betty Dain sites (on mobile and desktop) for speed, function, conversion, and UX/UI

• Responsible for creation and management of product display pages for all products across multiple brands

• Translate business and marketing objectives into website designs that are clear, compelling, visually exciting, and easy to understand

• Help to establish initiatives, coding, and design to drive the site’s look, functionality, merchandising strategy, promotions, upselling and cross-selling

• Deliver an optimal customer experience that will drive sales based on quantitative and qualitative analysis, utilizing data to improve our customer's site experience, customer service, checkout, and website returns process

• Compose and send weekly reporting of sales and other KPIs to relevant stakeholders

• Monitor competitive websites, industry trends, and new technology and digital services ensuring that the brand is staying at the forefront of industry standards

• Explore and review options to continuously improve site design, functionality, and speed

• Ability to analyze and implement code and various third-party apps for Shopify Plus that will optimize the site and UX/UI

• Update and modify existing Shopify stores to enhance UI/UX design and optimize websites for conversion; add new features

• Test, develop, and customize third-party Shopify apps to extend store functionalities

• Work alongside agency to establish effective digital ad campaigns (paid search and social)


QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience

• Proven experience as a Shopify Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing past Shopify projects

• In-depth knowledge of the Shopify platform, including liquid templating language, APIs, and backend functionalities

• Excels at coding CSS, Liquid, HTML, and Javascript

• Forward-thinker with the ability to work independently and as part of a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)

• Experience with consumer goods/apparel is strongly preferred

• Ability to prioritize, track, and complete multiple projects

• Excels at wireframing and UX / UI (figma, etc)

• Experience managing digital ads (paid search and social)

• Agency experience preferred but not required
