Information Technology Manager

IT Manager/Head of IT – Middleborough, MA

A well established, technology and technical services company is looking for an IT Manager/Head of IT to assume a leadership position within the IT department. The IT Manager who will lead an IT team and oversee all aspects of the company's information technology infrastructure and operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with excellent leadership and communication skills. They will lead a team of IT professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our systems, infrastructure, and networks. Perform research to create functional and technical designs that when developed and implemented will meet business needs. The position requires managing the configuration and testing of the JDE software application to meet those business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives to support the company's objectives and growth.
• Manage and lead a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the IT department, ensuring that systems, networks, and infrastructure are running smoothly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs.
• Manage IT projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Ensure the security of company data and information systems through the implementation of robust security measures and protocols.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in information technology and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide leadership and guidance on IT best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client communication related to IT issues, projects, and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in IT management or leadership role.
• Advanced knowledge of Managed Service Providers (MSP).
• Strong technical background with expertise in IT systems, networks, infrastructure, and security.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of IT professionals.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or similar are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Excel, SharePoint, MS Project and analytical tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
